BLUE COUPE

When Legends Collide

The three iconic rock stars in Blue Coupe are the founders of Blue Öyster Cult and the Alice Cooper group.  Their live shows are a mix of the greatest hits from their respective groups as well as new classics from their studio albums.  It is a powerful legacy of music that makes for a dynamic and exciting show.

Blue Coupe's members include Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Dennis Dunaway, bassist of the legendary Alice Cooper group, with multi-instrumentalist, Joe Bouchard who founded Blue Öyster Cult with his brother Albert Bouchard, a master of the drums. These originals were the heartbeat of some of the best-known songs in the history of rock.  Note for note, their full-throttle jams hit you over the head and grab you by the heart in their concerts.

In the original Alice Cooper group, Dennis co-wrote hits including "I'm 18," "School's Out," and "Under My Wheels" while Albert and Joe were co-writers and arrangers of many of Blue Öyster Cult's biggest songs including "Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll," "Hot Rails to Hell," and "Astronomy" (covered by Metallica).  Joe, Albert, and Dennis have sold over 15 million albums and have been awarded over 30 gold and platinum records worldwide.

In 1972 the then unknown Blue Öyster Cult opened shows for the Alice Cooper group on a record-breaking tour of outdoor festivals and sold-out arenas that made the cover of Forbes magazine as the highest grossing tour of the year.  It was a tremendous boost to their popularity and exposure to a big-time rock and roll education.  As Alice Cooper became world famous with hits like "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and "Elected", Blue Öyster Cult continued with their own sold-out tours with hits like "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" and "Burnin' For You."  BÖC also pioneered their own spectacular stage show with ra laser light show with pyrotechnical explosions that was completely stunning, and they even had a huge walking and talking Godzilla.

When Blue Coupe was formed they were not content to rest on their laurels and found fame with their highly acclaimed album, Tornado On The Tracks, which had multiple Grammy considerations in 2011 and 2012, including "Angel's Well" featuring Robby Krieger legendary guitarist for The Doors.  Blue Coupe continues to tour North America and Europe with fantastic shows such as the Halloween Parade in New York City where they were seen by more than three million people!  After that they did shows in France and England including a tour with the legendary British group The Animals.

Blue Coupe's second album, Million Miles More featured Alice Cooper on vocal solo, Buck Dharma from Blue Öyster Cult on guitar, singers Tish, and Snooky from Manic Panic, Ross the Boss on guitar from Manowar and the Dictators, and Goldy McJohn on hammond organ from the classic Steppenwolf and more as special guest stars. The album was mixed by Jack Douglas (Aerosmith, John Lennon, Alice Cooper, and even BOC) and Warren Huart (Aerosmith and The Fray).  The new single "Hallow's Grave" with vocals by Alice Cooper was submitted for a Grammy award.

In 2015 Dennis Dunaway released his highly acclaimed biography,  Snakes! Guillotines! Electric Chairs! My Adventures in the Alice Cooper Group.  For the last three years, Blue Coupe modified their show to a more acoustic-style approach. Intimate performances were performed in bookstores, libraries, lecture halls, and a highly successful event at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.  Dennis’s book that been translated into several foreign languages and has just been released in paperback.

Presently Blue Coupe is rehearsing for their third studio album of all new songs.  Over 12 months in the making, this will be the best Blue Coupe album yet!Stay tuned for more info on the new album and our upcoming tour of festivals in Europe and the US in 2019.  See you on the road!
